Ch. 1 Service Learning

Well unlike like my previous post on rhetoric, the meaning of the service learning came easy to me and seemed near self explanatory. Though I am slightly arrogant at times, so that may not be the case for others. As I was scrolling and reading I did enjoy some of the history of todays mainstream service learning for that was mixed in the text. I would have never known that it basically rose out of higher ed. in the '60s and '70's when all those protests and human rights movements were going on, definitely a fun fact and makes sense. Moving on I came to the section that underlined this type of learning versus writing and as far as what it entailed I had no clue. In any case I at least see the different categories and reasoning behind each. Helping to establish ties between you, the college and the community and to provide a service to such while learning.

Any doubts I had were for the most part answered.
